A change machine is available for our guests' convenience. Boat Rentals on Lake Serene Old Forge Camping Resort has paddleboats and canoes that our guests can rent by the hour for a fee. Life jackets are included in the cost of your rental. Boats can be rented in season from 8am until one hour before dusk. All rentals can be done at Lake Serene Rentals, conveniently located between the Main Lodge and the beach area or in the Main Lodge when Lake Serene is closed. Direct Snowmobile Trail Access Old Forge Camping Resort has direct access to Trail 5 and the hundreds of miles of groomed snowmobiling trails in the Town of Webb and Inlet. Be sure to bring your tackle box and enjoy catch and release fishing. Lake Serene is stocked with Small Mouth Bass and Blue Gill - no fishing license necessary! Worms and lures are available for purchase in Lake Serene Rentals. We have a large charcoal grill at the beach, so you can even bring a picnic lunch. Nature Trail and Pet Walk Our nature trail goes around our private Lake Serene. The hike takes between 30-45 minutes. You may see many different types of wildlife including deer, beavers, chipmunks, squirrels and birds. There is a picnic table and charcoal grill located on a point overlooking the lake, so pack a lunch and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Right next to the nature trail is our pet walk. We welcome pets in our campground, and we ask that you observe the following: Keep pets on a leash at all times Pets may NOT be left unattended at your site inside or outside. Pets must be cleaned up after and waste disposed of properly. A copy of a current rabies certificate is required at check-in. Playgrounds There are two great playgrounds to take the kids to at Old Forge Camping Resort- one by the Main Lodge and one near Pine Forest Circle. Enjoy a lunch outside at our picnic areas with tables and charcoal grills. Pack up the family and enjoy some grilled hot dogs and hamburgers at the beach. Have a large group or family? Enjoy a fire at our Group Campfire area, where there's plenty of room for everybody! Snowshoe Loop Enjoy the beautiful winter scenery around our Camping Resort on the snowshoe loop. Our nature trail is not groomed, so bring your back country skis and come prepared to see winter wildlife around Lake Serene. Volleyball, Basketball & Horseshoes Old Forge Camping Resort has volleyball and basketball courts located near the Group Campfire area. The horseshoe pit is located right across the street! Volleyballs, basketballs, and horseshoes are all available at the Main Lodge. Tie Dye Make long-lasting memories with a unique souvenir to remember your stay by! It also makes a great group activity!
